Flax Kite Making

On Wednesday and Thursday Room 13 went to Mrs Sutton's  class for Interchange. We made flax kites.
We used: Toe Toe, Flax ( Ment to be Ball rush/ Raupo ), Wool and  Pipe cleaners. First we learnt how to cut the flax so the rain did not get in. Secondly we got the toe toe and cut two so they were the same length. We next tied the together with wool at  the top. Next we got another piece of  Toe toe and put it at the bottom and tied it on to the bottom of the other pieces of Toe toe. Two days after that we slit pieces of flax at both ends and stuck pipe cleaners through and tied them on. When we had finished every thing we did some finishing touches to our kite. We plaited two pieces of wool and each end of the bottom piece of Toe toe.By Kleo and Shayla.
