On Monday Room 13 started making cardboard masks using a variety of techniques eg cutting, folding, curling, bending. Our mask base came from the corner of a cardboard box and then we used these techniques to design the face. We worked on these for some of Monday and Tuesday and then started our Funky felt monsters on Wednesday.
First we traced around a stencil for the shape, we then cut the felt out and hand sewed around the outline. Next we stuffed our monster and sewed it closed. When then used a variety of materials to give our monster a personality eg buttons, felt shapes, material scraps.
